SnowProof Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

SnowProof is built to be private. Your service records belong to you and stay on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. SnowProof has no user accounts and no servers of our own. All of your sites, service logs, photos, materials, notes, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your data, and we cannot see it.

Location

With your permission, SnowProof reads your device location only at the moment you log a service or pin a site, so it can attach a location stamp to that record. Your location is stored on your device as part of the record. We never transmit it to us and we do not track your location in the background. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in the iOS Settings app; the app continues to work, and you can enter conditions manually.

Weather (Apple Weather / WeatherKit)

To stamp a record with the on-site conditions, SnowProof asks Apple's WeatherKit service for the current weather at your location. When it does, your coordinates are sent to Apple to return the forecast. That request is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Apple's WeatherKit attribution terms. SnowProof does not receive any identifying information back — only the weather data.

Photos

If you attach photos to a service log, they are stored locally on your device inside the app's data. They are not uploaded anywhere.

Analytics, tracking, and ads

None. SnowProof contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. It does not use the Advertising Identifier and never asks to track you.

In-app purchases

SnowProof Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the transaction; we never see your payment details. Purchase status is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit.

Children

SnowProof is a professional tool and is not directed at children.
